Want Whiter Teeth Without the Cost?!

DIY Teeth Whitening Solution!

Here is a link to a real simple, 2 step method, easy to do yourself rinse & paste to whiten your teeth!

Easy Teeth Whitening For Any Budget

"How to Whiten Your Teeth at Home:
- To whiten your smile, swap your normal mouthwash with hydrogen peroxide or mix it 1/2 & 1/2 with the mouthwash. Swish the liquid around your mouth and through your teeth for a good minute before spitting it out. Once you spit it out, go ahead and rinse your mouth with water to get the taste out.
- Right after rinsing, brush your teeth using a baking soda/toothpaste mixture. To make this mixture, put a tiny bit of toothpaste into a small cup, and then mix in one teaspoon of the baking soda and half a teaspoon of water. Once the concoction has been thoroughly mixed together and is the consistency of a paste, use it to brush your teeth. Brush your teeth for two minutes, just as you do regularly, and then spit it out. Upon completion, you will have successfully created a whitening treatment comparable to many popular products you’ll find in stores.
- Remember to do the two step whitening process once a week until you have reached the results you want. Once your teeth are good and white, limit yourself to using the whitening treatment once every month or two." It'a a great site, a lot of ideas there! I recommend you check it out, I'm having fun perusing it! Enjoy!

Want Glowing Skin? Another DIY Scrub

Here's another take on a DIY scrub..

Pretty simple really:

What You Need:
- Glass Jar
- 2 cups of salt { this could be made with Brown Sugar instead }
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- A sprinkle of Lemon Zest * Optional

Mix all ingredients in your glass jar. Run off and have a shower and scrub down! But as another post-er said, make sure to wash down the residue of this scrub from your tub, don't want any accidents! If you use organic Salt or Sugar & organic olive oil, it will be all natural, organic, homemade! I've seen this sort of recipe on many different pages, sorry I don't recall where it came from!

Wow

I am surprised! Earlier I sent a note to Tsh Oxenreider to thank her for all of her hard work, and to let her know that she's inspired me to get moving on doing some of these things at home & in our family. I know she must get TONS of letters similar to mine and I was content to just know that she'd be able to read my note and maybe feel good that she's touched yet another person. But do you know, she took time out of her busy schedule to answer my note? It's so refreshing to receive a response, even though I wasn't expecting any. I am sure I will be a loyal follower of this lady for as long as she's doing what she's doing. Brilliant, I am going to have a good day.

Inspired!

Recently many of our local bookstores have been closing up shop. I hate to see a bookstore shutdown, but I love the savings you can get during these times. I was shocked at which locations they decided to close and keep, and it saddens me. But on one of our trips to the store, I stumbled upon a great book. Organized Simplicity by Tsh Oxenreider. Admittedly, I am not one of the well organized, well disciplined homemaker types, I don't have the patience for a lot that comes a long with being one. However, I am constantly trying to get things together, get organized, and as I go through this book, I see more and more of how I'd like things to work around this house. She's got a wonderful website called Simple Mom, it's full of valuable, useful, information. Many things a lot of you might already know or practice, but many things that have been simplified down that make getting to what's important to you easier. I highly recommend checking out that site, she's got other writers and they've all got different sites of their own and their own space on her site as well. I am a very complicated simple person. I know that it doesn't immediately make sense, but it's the truth. I am basic in needs, I don't need much. But getting to what I do need, well.. just ask my husband, it isn't as simple as the need itself. He gets the worst of my complication, but at least I am not complicated in my needs, { he's lucky there..} !

To follow, a small list of things I've found useful on her site. Everything from homemade beauty products to household cleaners. Natural, no harsh chemicals, very Eco-Chic Earth-Friendly. Having a small kid in the house, makes these things more important to me these days. It also doesn't hurt the budget to be saving on those expensive products, that are primarily made up of chemicals we don't need to be using in the first place.

The button above is a link to a project they posted wherein everyone had 5 different tasks for decluttering a specific area over 1 week { I believe a week for each area.. }. I wasn't yet privy to the site when this was taking place, so I am now doing this on my own. However I will tackle things in a different order based on what's in most need here. With luck, I am on the road to a simpler, easier, life for myself & family. I hope you enjoy!
