Beautiful You

For a long time now, I've been wanting to try out some of the more natural / homemade type beauty tips and solutions out there. After all, we all know how lovely they make things look and smell in those pretty bottles and jars. And for just $16.50, it could be yours! Oh, and take a look at all the products that go along with them. I should confess now, I have a vanity with a RAINBOW variety of soaps, washes, bubble bath, spritzers, refreshers.. and on and on. I've collected things things for as long as I can remember. I am so excited to think of how much money I'll be saving if I find some things that I like and can make at home.

This page is going to be a mix of different types of do it yourself beauty hints, tips, advice, and recipes for some of those pricey store bought deals. Some I've tried and some not, but if they work out they'll be great additions. As with all new things, you should test them on your forearm for an hour to make sure you have no allergic reaction. Anything homemade should be kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator for no more than a week. Salt or sugar based scrubs will last up to a month in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Vinegar, vodka, witch hazel, or lemon juice are natural preservatives, they will help keep your homemade items fresh.

The recipes, tips, and tricks found here are from various sources. Some family and friends, some found on the web on random sites. I will post noteworthy sites that I run across, also if you've got something you'd like to recommend, please email me and I'll check it out and find a good place to post it. There is no better time to start saving money and going natural and homemade.
